International flexible packaging manufacturer Korozo Group is pleased to publish its 2024 Sustainability Report, which is now available to download.
Korozo Group published its Sustainability Report to provide transparent, structured and verifiable information about how sustainability is integrated into its business strategy, governance model and operational practices. The report presents the Group’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance for the 2024 reporting period and reflects Korozo’s long-term value creation approach in line with internationally recognized reporting standards.
The full Sustainability Report provides detailed data, methodologies and independent assurance statements.
Our CEO Adam Barnett said:
“At Korozo, sustainability is a strategic business priority that shapes how we operate, how we design our products and how we create long-term value. Our People–Planet–Packaging framework provides a clear structure for managing environmental and social topics while strengthening our operational resilience and customer partnerships.”
Key headlines from the Korozo Group 2024 Sustainability Report include:
During 2024, Korozo Group continued to strengthen its sustainability practices across its operations:
• The Group achieved a CDP Climate A score, reflecting structured climate governance and transparent disclosure.
• The share of recyclable packaging structures within total production increased, and the use of recycled raw materials continued to expand.
• Renewable energy sourcing initiatives supported reductions in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions at selected facilities.
• Investment in employee development continued through structured training programmes delivered via the Korozo Academy.
• Korozo’s recyclable and circular-oriented packaging solutions received recognition in international packaging awards.
Korozo’s People, Planet, and Packaging philosophy is reflected throughout the company’s 2024 Sustainability Report. Korozo’s sustainability strategy is structured around three interconnected pillars:
People – promoting safe, fair and inclusive workplaces, supporting learning and development, and respecting human rights across operations and the supply chain.
Planet – managing environmental impacts through energy efficiency, emissions management, responsible resource use and circular economy practices.
Packaging – developing recyclable, recycled-content and performance-driven packaging solutions aligned with circular economy principles and regulatory requirements such as the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
This framework is supported by Board-level governance, defined policies and measurable targets.
For example, for People, Korozo has a structured programme of initiatives supporting workplace development, diversity and inclusion, and learning and development activities across the organisation.
In 2024, Planet-related initiatives focused on energy efficiency and resource optimisation programmes, including energy and water use management, wastewater treatment, waste management, heat recovery, system pressure maintenance and LED lighting installations.
Korozo continues to develop packaging solutions designed in line with circular economy principles. The Group’s mono-material and recycled-content product platforms, including KoroRCY-based structures, are designed to support recyclability within existing waste management systems while meeting functional and performance requirements.
These developments form part of Korozo’s broader roadmap to align its product portfolio with current and upcoming regulatory frameworks and customer sustainability objectives.
Dr. Betül Türel Erbay, Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer at Korozo Group, said:
“Our 2024 Sustainability Report presents how sustainability is integrated into our governance, innovation and organisational practices across the Group.
“During the reporting period, we continued to strengthen our climate and sustainability governance systems, expanded recyclable and recycled-content packaging platforms, and progressed workplace development initiatives. These efforts are supported by structured disclosure and independent assessment mechanisms such as CDP and EcoVadis.”
Adam Barnett added:
“Our goal is to work with a range of stakeholders to lead the packaging industry towards a more responsible, more circular, and more resilient future.
Dr. Betül Türel Erbay concluded:
“Looking ahead, our focus remains on strengthening circular design approaches, expanding renewable energy integration and deepening collaboration across the value chain as part of Korozo’s long-term transition roadmap.”
